1998 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

One thing I hate is people who try to sell their used cars by describing them with phrases such as "like new" or "in showroom condition" or "car is mint".  Another thing I hate is potential buyers who can't tell the difference.  No used vehicle is perfect, so I'm not going to describe my car with such cliche phrases.  I also have no wish to sell my car to anyone who can't recognize or doesn't care about the finer details in an automobile.

All of that being said, I do believe my Corvette to be one of the absolute cleanest and most beautiful 1998 Corvettes you can presently find for sale on the Internet.  I could easily fill several web pages with everything that has been done to this car in terms of maintenance and upgrades, but for now I'll just highlight some of the more relevant details below.  You will be able to see for yourself the huge stack of paperwork and receipts that has been kept since the car was first purchased.  You will also see that this car's maintenance history would be considered seriously excessive even for the most die-hard car enthusiast.

In the interest of full disclosure, let me start with the two gripes that I presently have about this Corvette.  As the weather has been warming up I've noted that the sway bar bushings are in need of some fresh lubricant.  Unless I get around to applying new grease before you view the car, you will likely be able to hear a faint squeaking when the rear suspension moves.  Also, a new light bulb cover is needed for the underside of the hood.  These are obviously two very minor details that some people wouldn't even notice, but I feel they should be addressed for the car to be 100%.

Exterior Modifications:

  • custom painted stripes on hood, roof, and rear (these are not stickers!)
  • custom painted lower rear fascia
  • red Corvette lettering
  • Baer Eradispeed cross-drilled and slotted rotors
  • performance brake pads
  • custom painted brake calipers
  • Z06 motorsport wheels
  • Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance tires
  • amber taillights
  • exhaust plate
  • Z06 front intake screens
  • Z06 rear brake ducts (fully functional)

Interior Modifications:

  • custom premium leather seats with black Alcantara inserts and Corvette logos
  • brushed/polished billet "Corvette" door sill covers
  • red Corvette lettering
  • color matched floor mats

Performance Modifications:

  • custom air intake
  • Z06 titanium exhaust

From the factory this Corvette came very nicely equipped with all of the desirable features such as automatic transmission, selective real time dampening, Bose stereo system, digital climate control, and memory settings.  It presently has about 110,000 miles on it, but that should not be a concern for the buyer.  Before purchasing this car I spent over six months physically inspecting and test driving more than forty C5 Corvettes.  I found this car to be cosmetically and mechanically nicer than all of them ... even those that had only 30,000 miles on them!

This Corvette has never been wrecked, raced, or in any way abused by myself or the original owner.  I have a clean title in hand with no liens on it.  If all you care about is finding the lowest price possible, this car is not for you.  If you want an exceptional Corvette, however, I'm willing to entertain serious offers at this time.**

* Update:  I just had a new factory correct AP Tech windshield installed in the car.  As a purist I can't stand aftermarket glass like LOF, Pilkington, or the various Chinese brands.

** Update:  The car already comes with its custom striped solid targa top, but for the right offer I am willing to include a new (as in still in the factory wrapping) $1,600 genuine GM glass targa top as well.
